Hacking airline security

Faking airline security is one of the preferred playfields of totally incompetent interior ministers (arguably a redundant description). A week ago I had to travel to the country famous for mad cow disease. Even though I could fly there with normal hand luggage, i.e. subject to brain-dead EU regulations, they would not let me fly home with more than one piece of hand luggage. Totally absurd.

Now, Bruce Schneier, world's leading security expert and critic of security theater, announced the Second Annual Movie-Plot Threat Contest. This way he wants to force airline "security" into banning even more things to finally make absurdity obvious to everybody.

Now the winner was announced. The idea being the use of potassium with water which ignites nicely. Not sure if this will cause any additional measures which was the idea of the content. I was hoping for something more exciting which would really force totally ridiculous counteractions.
