Crimes of the Bush Regime

This page lists crimes and other evil-doings commited by the Bush Regime. It is certainly not complete and needs many links to prove those claims. You support is warmly welcome.

The Bush government presented false evidence to the international community. Secretary Powell knew that "He [Saddam Hussein] has not developed any significant capability with respect to weapons of mass destruction.", though.
The Bush government threatend UN officials (Hans Blix and his team) so they had to stop their work on behalf of the international community.
They ignored the will of the UNO and attacked a foreign country without a legitimate reason.
Bush is responsible for war crimes:
- Prisoners of war are held in Guantanamo Bay, but they are denied the POW status, without charge, and without the chance to see a lawyer, possibly torture. There will be no fair trial by even the lowest standars of any civilized country. Rumsfeld: "They were people that were picked up on the battlefield in Afghanistan […] and the purpose, as in most wars, was to get them off the battlefield; to keep them from going back and fighting again and killing people. […] our interest is in not trying them and letting them out; our interest is in, during this global war on terror, keeping them off the streets."
- US forces intentionally attacked civilian targets and killed civilians in the war against Iraq.
- US forces intentionally attacked and killed members of the free press in the war against Iraq.
- US forces helped with the desctruction and theft of the world's cultural heritage in the war against Iraq.
- US forces use napalm bombs.
- US uses Iraq as a colony (including a blanked waiver against any judicial process).
- US prisons in Iraq may break international law
- Very severe human rights abuses against POWs

The US government denies the International Criminal Court (ICC) and threatens countries who cooperate with the court.
They threaten democratic and peace-loving countries like Belgium, The Netherlands, France, and Germany with war. (American Servicemen's Protection Act)
Weapons of mass destruction:
- Posess and showed willingness to use them.
- Want to develop them further (mini nukes etc.).
- Helped with proliferation by knowingly not protecting nuclear power plants during the war against Iraq.
- The US helped Iraq and other countries obtain biological and chemical weapons. Rumsfeld backed Saddam even after chemical attacks.
International treaties:
Bush is personally responsible for 152 executions, also see the Death Penalty Information Center.
Wrongful conviction is systematically taken into account, while terrorists who knowingly releasing deadly chemicals are pardoned (see e.g. "Stupid White Men" chapter nine or http://web.amnesty.org/library/Index/engAMR510881998the risk of lethal error in death penalty cases).
